CCTV Systems Products and Solutions by Advanced Service Solutions

"CCTV Systems" -- Closed-circuit television (CCTV), also known as video surveillance, is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors. It differs from broadcast television in that the signal is not openly transmitted, though it may employ point to point (P2P), point to multipoint (P2MP), or mesh wireless links.  A more advanced form of CCTV, utilizing digital video recorders, (DVRs), provides recording for possibly many years, with a variety of quality and performance options and extra features (such as motion detection and email alerts). More recently, decentralized IP cameras, some equipped with megapixel sensors, support recording directly to network-attached storage devices, or internal flash for completely stand-alone operation.

We consult on and provide CCTV Systems and solutions because they are an important part of business.  Being able to properly protect and view your possessions, your inventory, your business and whatever else may need protection is vital to your piece of mind and to your ability to keep your business operational and profitable.  CCTV and its ability to record and store video makes it extremely difficult for theft and/or destruction to occur without accountability.  The problem that occurs, is incorrect design and/or placement of equipment/cameras and/or the improper selection of which cameras and/or lens should be placed where.

We have been working with CCTV for over thirty five (35) years and have taken the Axis certification for Gold Dealer and are Axis Certified Professionals.  We know how to engineer and work on CCTV systems.  Choosing the right components for the right applications is critical to succss.  Choosing quality equipment with the best design specifications, backed by the best company and supported by both Axis and ourselves means a complete and professional system from the start.

All CCTV Systems are not created equally.  A CCTV System is nothing more or less than a list of electronic components until a design is applied to its use.  The design needs to be well thought out and conducive to the way you can best utilize it and how to best provide the largest number of deterents and the best coverage.  The old saying that "You get what you pay for" could not be more applicable to CCTV solutions.

The second obsticle to getting a good CCTV solution is to understand the options and how they will affect your business and ability to use the system.  How long do you need to keep your recordings?  Do you need to record each and every time an employee opens or locks up your business?  Do you need to record during the day or just after hours?  Do you need special protection to certain areas and protect certain assets?  Do you and/or your people need surveilance in the parking lots so that they can summon help if accosted?  Most important of all, is someone watching real time to see what happens of is this something that you go to the recordings if something happens?    What type of lighting do you have and/or do you need?  Do you need night vision and/or infra-red detection?  As you can see, there are so many considerations to think about that it is stagering.  Again, most CCTV companies do not tell you about any of these issues because they kill sales.

Is a CCTV System the only thing you need?  Should you be considering an Access Control Solution as well?  Should you be considering a Security solution as well?  Do all of these solutions talk and work together?  Am I going to have to hire people just to help manage these new systems.  Will this interfere with my computer network and how will they co-exist together and will they interfere with each other?  How will I see this over the Internet and can other people see it as well?
